Summary:
This Security Council resolution constitutes an agreement to extend the transition period in Côte d I'voire for a further 12 months. It endorses the decisions of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union to extend the mandate of the President and the Prime Minister for a final 12 months and aims to hold elections by 31 October 2007. It empowers the Prime Minister to undertake the implementations of the Road Map.
