Constitutional Provisions on Disability by Country

This document sets out the relevant constitutional provisions that apply to disability, by country. The countries included are: Canada, Fiji, South Africa, Uganda, Switzerland, Paraguay, Malawi, Hungary, Ghana, Germany, Gambia, and Finland. Of note is that some countries take a negative rights approach, granting people the freedom from discrimination or the right to equality, while others include positive rights, providing for special care as needed for persons with disabilities.
