Summary:
This comprehensive agreement creates a Government of National Reconciliation. The Government of National Reconciliation will be in charge of preparing a timetable for holding a credible and transparent national elections, rebuilding the security forces and organizing the disarmament of all armed groups. The agreement empowers a committee to monitor the implementation of the agreement. The agreement also includes an annex which addresses substantively issues such as the question of citizenship, the status of foreign nationals, the electoral system, the eligibility to run for the presidency of the country, land tenure, media, disarmament and demobilization and economic recovery.
