CHRISTINE BELL (Ireland – Constitutional Issues) is Professor of Constitutional Law, and Assistant Principal (Global Justice), at the University of Edinburgh. Her work has centred on peace process design, issues of inclusion and in particular inclusion of women and non-dominant minorities, and ‘PeaceTech’ in the form of the use of peace and conflict data and creative interfaces to support peace processes. It has been recognised by awards from the American Society of International Law, the Socio-Legal Studies Association, UK, and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. She has been involved in giving comparative process-design, legal and constitutional advice in a number of peace processes including in Colombia, Northern Ireland, Ethiopia, Philippines, and Sri Lanka.  In particular, she supported a range of negotiators and parties to the agreement in Northern Ireland in preparing negotiating positions with reference to human rights issues during the peace process, and was appointed to the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission established by the Belfast or Good Friday Agreement.

CHRISTINE BELL (Irlande – Questions constitutionnelles) est professeure de droit constitutionnel et directrice adjointe (Global Justice) à l'Université d'Édimbourg. Son travail s'est concentré sur la conception des processus de paix, les questions d'inclusion et en particulier l'inclusion des femmes et des minorités non dominantes, et la « PeaceTech » sous la forme de l'utilisation de données sur la paix et les conflits et d'interfaces créatives pour soutenir les processus de paix. Son travail a été reconnu par des prix de l'American Society of International Law, de la Socio-Legal Studies Association du Royaume-Uni et de la Royal Society of Edinburgh. Elle a donné des conseils comparatifs en matière de conception de processus, juridiques et constitutionnels dans un certain nombre de processus de paix, notamment en Colombie, en Irlande du Nord, en Éthiopie, aux Philippines et au Sri Lanka. En particulier, elle a soutenu divers négociateurs et parties à l’accord en Irlande du Nord dans la préparation de positions de négociation en référence aux questions de droits de l'homme au cours du processus de paix, et a été nommée à la Commission des droits de l'homme d'Irlande du Nord créée par l'Accord de Belfast ou du Vendredi Saint.
