Summary:
This agreements seeks to implement further the judgment of the International Court of Justice of 10 October 2002. The agreement calls for Nigeria to withdraw its troops from the Bakassi Peninsula within a sixty day time frame from the signing of the agreement. Upon completion of the transfer of authority, the Government of Cameroon guarantees the fundamental rights and freedoms to Nigerian national residing in the area.
