Summary:
In this draft agreement, signed in Havana, Cuba on 23 June 2016, the Government of Colombia and the FARC-EP commit to a permanent bilateral ceasefire, and agree on the manner in which the FARC-EP will move their forces to assembly areas and subsequently lay down their arms and hand them to the United Nations. This partial agreement was reached through Norwegian and Cuban facilitation and the good offices of the United Nations Secretariat, and will enter into force after the signature of a final peace agreement between the parties.
