Summary:
This agreement seeks to implement the Oslo I Agreement of 13 September 1993. It defines the security, electoral, public administration and economic arrangements during the interim period of five years from the date of the Agreement on the Gaza Strip and the Jericho Area of 4 May 1994 until permanent settlement in accordance with Security Council Resolution 242 and 338. It also calls for Israeli-Palestinian cooperation and the release of Palestinian detainees.
