After three years as the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Special Coordinator for Lebanon (UNSCOL), Derek Plumbly stepped down in January 2015. On a recent debriefing visit to UN Headquarters, Mr. Plumbly reflected on the greatest challenge he faced during his time at the helm of UNSCOL.
