JUAN GARRIGUES (Spain – Process design) was previously the Deputy Director of the Dialogue Advisory Group (DAG), where he facilitated political dialogues in different contexts including Libya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Venezuela. In the Basque Country, he was part of the International Verification Commission which participated in the disarmament of ETA after almost 60 years of armed violence. From 2008 to 2011, he served as a foreign policy advisor in the Spanish Prime Minister’s office. In the UN, he has provided mediation support in Haiti, the DRC and Afghanistan, worked in the Americas division of the (then) Department of Political Affairs and served as a UN Volunteer in Niger. He has also served as a short and long-term election observer with the EU, OSCE and UN. He is a Senior Research Fellow Associate at the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB). He speaks English, Spanish and French.
JUAN GARRIGUES (Espagne – Conduite et conception de processus de médiation) auparavant occupait le poste de Directeur adjoint du Dialogue Advisory Group (DAG), où il a facilité des dialogues politiques dans différents contextes, notamment en Libye, en République démocratique du Congo (RDC) et au Venezuela. Au Pays basque, il a fait partie de la Commission internationale de vérification, q ui a participé au désarmement de l'ETA après près de 60 ans de violence armée. De 2008 à 2011, il était conseiller en politique étrangère au cabinet du Premier Ministre espagnol. Aux Nations Unies, il a fourni un appui technique à la médiation en Haïti, en RDC et en Afghanistan, a travaillé dans la division des Amériques de ce qui était alors le Département des affaires politiques et a servi comme volontaire des Nations Unies au Niger. Il a également été observateur des élections à court et à long terme auprès de l'UE, de l'OSCE et des Nations Unies. Il est chercheur principal associé au Centre de recherche internationale de Barcelone (CIDOB). Il parle anglais, espagnol et français.
