This agreement calls for a cessation of hostilities and the reintegration of the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) into the political and social life of Colombia.

This agreement establishes a ceasefire, which will be extended based on the achievements of the negotiations. The agreement also provides for a list of issues to be negotiated between the parties, including autonomy arrangements for the indigenous peoples, land tenure and representation in the national parliament.
