Sharia Law in Constitutions of Muslim Countries: Challenges for the Somali Constitution-Building Process

This is a report from a 2010 symposium held in Djibouti on the integration of Sharia law within the future Somali constitution.  The report indicates that the conference achieved its primary objective of opening the door for a dialogue with Islamic groups who had, up till then, not been integrated into the ongoing Somali constitutional process.  The report discusses the conferences achievements and future perspectives.
