Kenya’s New Constitution and Conflict Transformation

This paper analyzes the ways in which Kenya’s new 2010 constitution addresses the root causes of the country's historical political conflict. The paper identifies the root causes of conflict and examines how the new constitution provides for reforms on governance, democracy, human rights, ethnicity and resource-sharing.
