The Organization of Federal Capitals

A study of federations elsewhere indicates that, broadly speaking, there are three&ampnbspmain types of constitutional organization for the government of federal capitals: a federal&ampnbspdistrict, a city-state, and government under the jurisdiction of one of the states. Each has&ampnbspits own advantages and peculiar problems, as this paper discusses.
