Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement

This agreement provides for the conditions necessary for achieving peace, including the delineation of the relationship between the Central Government of Indonesia and the regional Government of Aceh. It elaborates on security arrangements, political participation, economic revival and promotion of human rights in Aceh. It also establishes a EU-ASEAN monitoring mission to monitor the implementation of the agreement.
