Signed on the same date as the Mexico Agreement on the Procedures for the Search of Peace by Political Means, it  sets out the agenda and issues for the negotiating process.

This Security Council Resolution calls for a permanent ceasefire agreement. It also establishes a plan for national reconciliation.
