This agreement establishes a negotiation process for resolving the El Salvador conflict and the procedures by which it will be conducted.  

This agreement between the five Central American Presidents sets a date for the demobilization of Nicaraguan Contras. This declaration, by the Presidents of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, requested the United Nations Observer Group in Central America (ONUCA) to destroy all weapons collected in situ. Weapons would be returned once the Contras were into one of eight “security zones”.

This agreement provides the arrangements for future dialogue between the parties and appoints the chairman of the National Reconciliation Commission as conciliator. It also mandates the UN to monitor the peace process.

The agreement establishes a ceasefire and the process for the disarmament and demobilization of the Nicaraguan resistance. It also establishes a Transition Committee composed of the new government and resistance members to monitor the implementation of the agreement.

This agreement concerns socio-economic, political and judicial reforms. The agreement includes political transformation of the M-19 as well as amnesty and Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) provisions that affect the M-19. It also calls for a constitutional reform to combat drug-trafficking.

This declaration condemns armed action by irregular forces, supports the principle of supporting democratically elected governments and to resolve the Central American conflicts through peaceful means. It also calls for the immediate demobilisation of armed groups.

These agreements seeked to end the Lebanese civil war. It extends Lebanese sovereignty and authority in South Lebanon, occupied by Israel. The accords transfered the power away from the Presidency and vested it in a cabinet equally divided between the Muslims and Christians. It includes a Syrian-Lebanese security agreement to bring about the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory and calls for the disarmament and disbandment of all Lebanese and non-Lebanese militia.
