This agreement establishes an Interim Authority until the Transitional Authority is established by the emergency Loya Jirga. The composition and functions of the Interim Authority are delineated. The agreement provides the legal framework until the adoption of a new constitution. The Agreement also calls for the integration of all armed groups into the new Afghan Armed Forces under the authority of the Interim Authority.

This agreement formally restarts and organises thematic forums on specific issues of national interest. It calls for future discussions with the objective of strengthening peace and implementation of the agenda contained in the agreement. These include ceasefire issues, conflict reduction measures, energy issues and an analysis of the conclusions arrived at through the forums. 

This agreement addresses the issues and agenda to be included in future negotiations between the Government and the FARC. It also establishes a National Peace Council to address disputes regarding the zone of separation.  

This comprehensive agreement has three pillars: the autonomy arrangements for Bougainville, principles for the conduct of a referendum to determine Bougainville's future political status and a weapons disposal plan.  

This agreement calls for several confidence building measures including the release of political prisoners and freedom of movement, humanitarian access and prtection of national assets to be taken to ensure the good faith of the parties during the political negotiations of the Inter-Congolese Dialogue.  

This agreement delineates the cessation of hostilities and the decentralization of the government. It also addresses the issue of ethnic representation and the use of ethnic language in the public sector.

This agreement provies the guidelines by which the security aspects of the GRP-MILF Tripoli Agreement of Peace of 22 June 2001 are to be implemented.
