The Dawn of Constitutionalism in Nigeria

This article chronicles Nigeria''s constitutional history. In particular, the author examines post-independence constitution-making in Nigeria with regard to military rule and constitutionalism in Nigeria. In the light of a culture of impunity bequeathed by long years of military rule, the author advocates for good governance and a participatory approach to constitutional review as the foundations for strong constitutionalism in Nigeria.
