A Journey Around Constitutions - Reflecting on Contemporary Constitutions

This article, based on the 2002 Beinart Lecture at the University of Cape Town, examines differences between classical modern constitutions and various contemporary constitutions, using the contrasts to illustrate the changing nature of state, politics, and identity.
