Political Parties

This option report compares constitutional provisions related to political parties and the right to form them. The sample of constitutions reviewed consists of almost 600 constitutions enacted since 1789. In addition to detailing the historical and regional trends, the report provides sample constitutional provisions that refer to political parties and that explicitly provide for the right to form them.
