Forms of Government

This booklet is part of a series of documents developed by the Centre for Constitutional Dialogue on themes related to the constitution-building process in Nepal. It briefly defines general forms of government such as monarchy and democracy, and examines different forms of democracy such as parliamentary and presidential. After briefly discussing the history of the governance system of Nepal, the booklet lays out advantages and challenges for each form of democratic government which the Constituent Assembly might consider.
