Guidebook on the Provisional Constitution of Somalia

This guidebook was designed to aid the Somali people to become familiar with the contents of the Provisional Constitution which came into force on August 2, 2012. This manual explains: how to read the draft constitution; the status of Islam and Sharia law in the constitution; fundamental rights and duties; federalism and decentraliztion; the effect of the Provisional Constitution; and various other substantive constitutional provisions.
