Surfacing Gender and the Constitution of Timor-Leste

This paper addresses the question of how gender issues are relevant to the Constitution of Timor-Leste. The author first attempts a more traditional style of gender analysis that focuses on some of the explicit references to women and gender in the Constitution. The second part focuses on surfacing gender issues in the in the Constitution that are not so apparent on first reading.
